Property Maintenance Technician (Hands-On Role) — Anchorage, AK
Join Anchor Services LLC (Anchor Services Alaska)—Southcentral Alaska's premier one-call property maintenance, plumbing, heating, flood restoration, and remodeling contractor.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, self-directed Property Maintenance Technician who takes pride in high-quality, hands-on craftsmanship. Unlike single-trade shops where every job is handed off to three different subcontractors, Anchor Services Alaska is the trusted "One-Call" partner for Anchorage and Mat-Su homeowners, landlords, and property managers.
You will be in the field triaging work orders, troubleshooting complex residential and multi-family building issues, completing durable repairs safely, and communicating clearly with management and clients.
What You Will Do (Core Responsibilities)
- Hands-On Work Order Triage & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve day-to-day and urgent residential/multi-family property maintenance calls across Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Mat-Su Valley.
- Plumbing & Heating Repairs: Troubleshoot leaks, replace faucets/toilets/disposals/valves, assist with hydronic baseboard/boiler and water heater service, and winterize/thaw plumbing lines.
- Paint-Ready Drywall & Surface Restoration: Cut, hang, tape, mud, texture-match (orange peel / knockdown), and paint wall and ceiling openings after plumbing or water-damage repairs.
- Cabinetry, Doors, Trim & Finish Carpentry: Repair or install cabinets, vanities, interior/exterior doors, locks, subflooring, LVP flooring, and trim work during unit turns and remodels.
- Light Electrical & Appliance Swaps: Replace light fixtures, switches/outlets, bath exhaust fans, smoke/CO detectors, dishwashers, and residential appliances safely.
- Clear Field Communication: Document before/after photos, communicate diagnostic findings to management, and treat every client property with respect.
Qualifications & Trade Skills We Look For
- Proven multi-trade hands-on experience in residential property maintenance, remodeling, plumbing/heating, drywall (paint-ready), cabinetry, and light electrical.
- Strong independent problem-solving judgment—knowing how to fix things right the first time and when to escalate complex mechanical issues.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and safe winter driving habits in Alaska conditions (out-of-state applicants relocating to Alaska are welcome!).
